Title: Sr. Cloud Engineer (Python, Golang, Cloud)

Duration: Long Term Contract (1 year+)

Pay: Flexible (Hourly Market Rate Based on Location)

Location: Eden Prairie, MN

Onsite Requirement: Flexible Hybrid Schedule - As Needed Basis

This role will be responsible for developing services, controls, and reusable patterns that enable product teams to deliver value safely, quickly, and sustainably in the public cloud. This organization is looking to address security gaps, vulnerabilities and controls in order to ensure that all cloud instances are secure. In this position, you will work to create business value while collaborating with product owners and other engineers in an iterative Agile process. Your work will be leveraged by thousands in their journey towards public cloud maturity.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop services, controls, and patterns for public cloud that enable security and privacy at scale
  • Help define technical solutions to meet business needs through Agile process
  • Gather and analyze data to aide in informed decision-making while providing detailed, realistic estimates
  • Proactively automate infrastructure and services to enable a small team to deliver value to a global enterprise
  • Familiarity with DevOps, Agile, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery concepts
  • Experience building and deploying applications to the cloud (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, AWS, etc.) using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
  • Experience with modern programming languages, systems, and architectures

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years' experience in one or more cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud) and their cloud-native services
  • 5+ years' experience with Golang (preferably), Ruby, or Python to develop an application or perform infrastructure automation
  • Experience with both application development and public cloud infrastructure, rather than just one domain, will be a differentiating factor.
  • Expertise with the tools and languages we use to automate cloud infrastructure will also prove valuable in making early contributions to the team, specifically Python, Golang, Cloud (Azure or AWS or Google Cloud Platform)
  • Preferred experience with Cloud security best practices such as backups, vulnerability management, NIST & HITRUST framework controls
  • Experience building RESTful web services
  • Expertise in performance and scalability optimization
  • Knowledge of software and infrastructure security practices
